I'm back!

It seems like forever and a day since I last posted something.  I am just not a blogger, eventhough I am thinking of starting something like this at school... blogging not weightloss!
 
Things are going good for me, I am now starting to see the efforst in the way I look.  Even other people have commented every now and then and it is uplifting to hear.  I still have a ways to go and sometimes I am not as motivated as I should be.  I think I need to change things up a little at the gym.  I tried running on a tredmill and actually liked it, until my basketball injury.  I may give that another try.  I am also thinking about combining my cardio and weights into one long workout!  Who knows!
 
gotta run!  kids waking up early this morning!

Cardio and weights in the same session works great! I would recommend the weights first than the cardio. You need 100% effort for a set with the weights, do them rather quickly 90 seconds of rest in between sets, and do your cardio immediately after. Your heart rate is already up at fat-burning rate and you just depleated a good portion of your carb energy with the weights, so you are fat burning at the beginning of your cardio. Generally speaking you should do Cardio as long as you can, but if it is after weights you only want to go about half as long as your longest cardio sessions...don't want to go into your muscle for energy. -Todd

well ray, it's nice to see ya around once again! you should hit us up more often. it's nice having male voices in a mostly female mix. it gives us perspective to the other side and what a weight loss experience is like for a man :)
